Result of Stroke Play Competition Officially Announced RoG Rule 34-1b and 34-3; SoT 9.3.3. Competition Regulation. Revised 2015-02-15.

IN DEPTH: From RfG Rule 34-1b: "In stroke play, a penalty must not be rescinded, modified or imposed after a competition is closed.  A competition is closed when the result has been officially announced or, in stroke play qualifying followed by match play, when the player has teed off in his first match."

The committee may decide that a stroke play competition is "officially announced" when the final result of the competition is "officiellt announced" when the result has been posted on the official score-board/has been published on the closed circuit TV/has been published on the inter-net. 

Suggested wording. This Rule shall always stand under its own headline.

Result of Stroke Play Competition Officially Announced
The result of the stroke play competition ...  is officially announced when the result has been posted on the official score-board/has been published on the closed circuit TV/has been published on the inter-net.
